About Bondolfi
A legacy of teacher education since 1963
Nestled within the Catholic Diocese of Masvingo, Bondolfi Teachers’ College is the only Catholic teachers’ college in Zimbabwe. Guided by our motto, Ars, Scientia et Ministerium (knowledge, skills and service), we prepare compassionate, capable teachers for early childhood, primary and secondary classrooms.
Programmes
Three pathways into teaching
Each programme is a three-year Diploma in Education, studied in modules that you complete by the end of every semester.
General Course
For post ‘O’ level students training to teach at primary school, certified by the University of Zimbabwe.
Early Childhood Development
Specialist knowledge and skills to care for and teach young children at preschool and infant level.
STEM (Secondary)
Prepares student teachers to teach Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics in secondary schools.
How every programme is structured
Year 1 · On campus
Two semesters of residential study. Students complete their modules by the end of each semester.
Year 2 · Work Integrated Learning
A full year teaching in schools, guided by school mentors and college lecturers.
Year 3 · Back on campus
Two final semesters of modules that build on the classroom experience.

We have two intakes every year: February and August.
All three programmes (General Course, ECD and STEM) take three years. Students spend the first year (two semesters) on campus, the second year on Work Integrated Learning in schools, and the final year (two semesters) back on campus. Learning is organised into modules, and students complete their modules by the end of each semester.
For the General Course and ECD, fees are US$575 per semester.
No. Fees are the same for resident and non-resident students, because everyone eats in the college dining hall.
Yes, we offer bridging classes.
