Professional Studies Syllabus A
Overview
Professional Studies Syllabus A (PSA) is designed for a post ‘O’ level pre-service student teacher on a three year education programme (Primary) following a 3.3.3 teacher education model. During the initial three terms, the student teacher is exposed to theoretical knowledge of the teaching profession followed by three terms of teaching practice, distance education and e- learning.
The final three terms enable the student teacher to reflect on the teaching practice experience. PSA is designed to guide the student teacher to general knowledge of school administration and management as well as classroom management and teaching skills. It is compulsory for both the ECD and General Course student teacher.
